Ubadi Egeonu Named 2023 Cal-Hi Sports Division V All-State Boys Basketball First Team

A Historic All-State First Team Selection!

The accolades continue to pour in as Senior Ubadi Egeonu was recently named to the 2023 Cal-High Sports All-State Division V boys basketball first team.

With this accomplishment, Ubadi becomes the first athlete in AIMS and perhaps BACSAC history to be named to an All-State team.

As a senior, Ubadi Egeonu captured his second consecutive league MVP, after leading the Oakland Section in points per game and averaging 23.7 points per game (42nd in the state), 18.2 rebounds per game (8th in the nation), and 5.0 Blocks Per Game (27th in the Nation).

Ubadi helped lead his team to the CIF-Oakland Section playoffs and was named to his second consecutive All-BACSAC first team as a center. Ubadi's top performance of the year was a 44 point, 22 rebound, and 7 block win against Skyline High.

After three years, Ubadi will end his high school career as the Golden Eagles leader in several statistical catergories including points scored (1223), rebounds, and blocks. Ubadi was most recently named as a recipient for the CIF State Spirit of Sport Award for Winter.

Congratulations Ubadi on your All-State honor!
