Although known academically as one of the premier charter school systems in the Bay Area, in 2017, AIMS College Prep High School (Formerly known as American Indian Public High School) joined the Bay Area Charter School Athletic Conference (BACSAC) as a member of the CIF – Oakland Section.  Under the direction of District Athletic Director Maurice Williams and AIMS HS Athletic Director Margarita Esqueda, AIMS HS will offer 15 sports in its sixth season in the BACSAC.

While AIMS athletic programs will allow our students the opportunity to engage in friendly competition among some of the most athletically gifted students in the entire Bay Area, AIMS remains committed to ensuring that our scholar-athletes uphold our model as a “college first” institution.

To wit, AIMS athletic participation standards are among the most challenging in the nation as our high school students must maintain a 3.0 GPA when participating in sports.  Additionally, at the high school level, the first hour after school is an academically mandated team study hall.

Our commitment to academic and competitive excellence, and integrity through sportsmanship are the hallmarks of a model AIMS athlete.

AIMSTRONG!
