The AIMS HS Golden Eagles Soccer team upends Oakland Unity 4-0 to improve to 3-1 and advance to the BACSAC Varsity Men's Soccer Championship! Freshman Julio Martinez-Galvan was the player of the game with two goals and Sophomore Diego Garcia netted two goals to extend his impressive streak of 8 goals over a three-game period.
Prior to the game, the Golden Eagles needed to avenge their earlier season loss to Oakland Unity by winning today's match by at least 3 points. With today's win, the Golden Eagles have not only earned the #1 seed, but will face Oakland Unity in a rematch.
The Golden Eagles are seeking their first soccer Championship, and AIMS HS's third championship this school year. Congrats to Coach Sergio and the Golden Eagles. Best of luck in the championship!
