On Newly Designed Stephen Curry Court, Lady Eagles Keep Playoff Hopes Alive; Win in Four Sets

After a break in action due to the ongoing North Bay Fires, the AIPHS Lady Eagles Volleyball Team vied for a much needed win for the shot of landing the fourth and final spot in the BACSAC Division B playoffs.  But instead, the Lady Eagles were greeted with the surprise of a lifetime by becoming the first team to participate in an athletic event on Bushrod Recreation Center's newly renovated basketball/volleyball court, courtesy of Two-Time NBA Champion, Two-Time NBA MVP, and current Golden State Warrior Stephen Curry.

Aesthetics aside, the Lady Eagles played their best game of the season and needed only four sets (25-17), (20-25), (25-17), and (25-19) to avenge their defeat against Silver Oak High School from earlier in the season.  With today's win, the Lady Eagles improve to 4-5 and will need to finish strong in their last three games in order to reach the BACSAC Division B playoffs in AIPHS's inaugural sports season.

Special thanks to Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and the Curry Family Foundation, Oakland Parks & Recreation, the Oakland Commissioner, and BACSAC for their contributions to the Oakland Community and for making this day possible. #AIMSTRONG!
